On Tuesday, 1 October 2013, the ADI Design Index was presented at the Triennale exhibition of Milan.

This is the annual publication of the Association of Industrial Design and proposes a selection of top Italian design products, selected by the permanent Osservatorio of the ADI Design Index. These products will participate in the prestigious “Compasso d’Oro” contest, which was launched in 1954 based on an idea by Gio Ponti, and acknowledges excellence in Italian design.

This year the award goes to the FRAME collection, designed by Studio FM Milano for DesignTaleStudio, which already received the Silver Prize at the European Design Awards 2013.

The FRAME collection will compete in the “Design of materials and components” category, yet another award for design which focuses on wall tiles as an essential part of interior design.
Frame is the first real blend of the graphic language of state-of-the-art digital printing and porcelain stoneware. This results in highly decorative surfaces which are inspired by the materials, objects and suggestions of bygone days in a totally new concept of ceramic flooring.
