Your designs: Roberto Borelli

Tuesday 20 May 2008

Roberto Borelli from Lecce sent us three proposals for a ceramic decor, one in the 60×120 cm size (the same size we frequently use for our projects), and two in the 40×40 cm size. Works featuring a strong chromatic impact, with an “optical” feel which reminds us of Karim Rashid’s designs.

What do you think of them? Leave your comments and, if you wish, send us your proposal.

The new section “Your designs”: room for creativity!

Tuesday 20 May 2008

Since the very beginning, DesignTaleStudio blog gave the readers the chance to send ideas and design projects for ceramics using the form in the Contribute section. Since then, we have received many proposals, from professionals in the sector, artists, students or lovers of ceramic and interior design but we haven’t revealed anything yet because we wanted to see your reaction. We wanted to reflect, to have a general idea of the DTS blog readers before commenting on or showing the projects, as a sign of respects towards you and as a guarantee of quality of the blog itself.

Well, judging from the number and variety of designs received, we are proud to announce that, there are many creative minds, all interesting and diverse, amongst the DTS blog readers. Let’s start making room for this creativity with a bi-monthly series of posts dedicated to every single artist who impressed us for the communication message and, it can be said, for the commercial potential of the proposal.

Let’s start with the first designer, then.

Trascreativity: Krizia comments on her ceramic slab at Design On Stage

Tuesday 6 May 2008

Krizia was the guest on the last day of Trascreativity at the Triennale in Milan. The fashion designer told us about the different aspects influencing her style, relating some anecdotes about her career and not holding anything back when she was asked to express her idea on hot design topics.

In this video, Krizia comments on her ceramic prototype created for DesignTaleStudio: a composition of six 60×120 cm ceramic slabs depicting a huge panther and a leopard.
