DesignTaleStudio is a project that has always lived in the mind of its founders but that was officially created in 2005. A synergy of creative flair and people who wish to abandon the rationale of the ceramic world to focus on other aspects: the evolution of the concepts of art, experimentation and innovation.

Even though DesignTaleStudio is acting within a company structure, it is not a closed organization. We love to call it “creative osmosis”: many different people crossing DesignTaleStudio leaving their own artistic impressions, with ideas, projects, suggestions. It’s not surprising then if the most interesting ideas come from creative personalities, apparently not connected with the ceramic world (perhaps, just like you).

Ceramic is the most unpredictable and perhaps the most “human” material in existence. It is the result of a special combination of water, earth and fire whose final outcome is never 100% predictable, as the way the different elements combine always foresees a percentage of chance. When talking about ceramic tiles and porcelain stoneware, people tend to concentrate on the technical aspect, that is to say, performance. We at DesignTaleStudio are the only ones who are interested in this percentage of unpredictable chance, an aesthetic experimentation generating something never seen before. The human element that characterizes our slabs not as mere “products” but as genuine works of art.

Craftmanship

DesignTaleStudio wants to revive the tradition of hand-made ceramic as a creative and experimentation. The artistic touch of individuals more than the efficiency of the production line.

The strength of a great group

Behind DesignTaleStudio lies the second biggest ceramic group in Europe. This means the opportunity to rely on the greatest know-how, excellent technical products and a reliable pre and post-selling service.

Beyond porcelain stoneware

In the traditional ceramic labs it’s difficult to find such a variety of raw materials: glass, gold, platinum... DesignTaleStudio is constantly looking for new combinations of materials that, thanks to our unconventional manufacturing techniques, can give porcelain stoneware a new personality.

From industry to art, and back

We at DesignTaleStudio aren’t afraid of talking about our slabs as genuine works of art. They are produced in a limited number of pieces and they are the fruit of the constant desire of challenging the bias associated with ceramic, and creating a new and unique language; we try and impose trends not follow them.
